I am involved with a group and we seem to be on verge of disagreement. Exodus 20:5,6 as I understand it speaks specifically to the Jews for a specific time . Then later in Jeremiah 31:29-34, Ezekiel 18:2, etc. Aside from the fact that the blood of Messiah in Romans works and not to mention Galatians 3:13 where He took it on HIMself.

The Group leader just spoke of generational curses being at work in lives and I just got an email today about a school in Canada to teach and counsel of this and three other areas.... Am I the only one to see that (1) they were to those that hate me (2) Mercy to them that love me... (Chrisitans?) (3) the time is changed (4) a New Covenant (5) not to mention the work of the blood of Jesus in us is effectual.

Is there any basis I am missing to validate this rampart teaching though I really know there isn't.

Finally, I seem to recall a chapter that mentions this grape proverb three or four times? Perhaps my memory is in error. If not, refresh it for me as to book and chapter. Thank you.

My second area of concern regards teaching in the group. What is the basis if any for Christians having demons? The leaders say some have them and that some have been delivered of them though they are Messianic Jews and redeemed and Spirit filled. ?? Another says her friend was saved, filled by Spirit and required deliverance from Demonic Powers after saved and filled and walking in gifts for a time. If a basis, please give me Scriptures. If not, give me Scriptures. Thanks as I know this will be brought up shortly. I feel a house divided cannot stand and if the blood is covering us then any demons we had unsaved are driven out especially when the Holy Spirit baptizes us. Am I in error? - posted: July 16 2008

I was referred to you by someone on the internet as being an expert in Hebrew. I’m learning to read Hebrew and while studying I’ve learned something about the name ‘Jehovah’ which I shared with fellow Christians and was immediately challenged as spreading an untruth. One Christian (I don’t know his real name) who claims to know you personally suggested I consult with you to verify this.

It’s common knowledge that in original Hebrew scrolls they don’t write vowels and that the pronunciation of the four letter Tetragrammation name of God, (Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey) has been lost since it is not known what vowels went with it. In Jewish bibles, such as the Artscroll Stone Edition Tanach, where the Hebrew has vowels included for ease of reading, they sometimes place two sets of vowels on the four letter name. One set of vowels are the vowels used with the name Adonai and the other set are identical with the name Elohim, a hataf-segol ( Á ), holam haser ( É ), hirik ( Ä ) . These aren’t placed there to pronounce the four letter name as Yehovah, Yehhoveeh or any other transliteration such as Jehovah, but as a flag for Jews to read the four letter name as Elohim or Adonai. So in essence, the name Jehovah is not a real name of God. It has derived from an attempt to pronounce the four letter name using these vowel markers.

Would you be willing to substantiate what I’ve presented here? I appreciate any help on this matter.

Thank you,

Dear Dr. Blizzard, First, I would like to let you know that I was very thrilled to know that you are still alive after I had first heard you on a talk program (I believe it was TBN) about 17 or more years ago. I never forgot you. You really impressed my with your knowledge about Jews. I had seen you only once or no more than twice in my life on TV but I never forgot you.

Last year for some reason I thought about you. The reason I thought about you is because last year I became a Messianic Jew after being a Baptist all my life - 50+ years. I searched your name on Google.com and that is how I located your website. I visited the BibleScholars.org website for two weeks but I'm unable to subscribe to it as much as I would like to. You have such a wealth of understanding of the Bible (I believe).

I have a question for you that I would like for you to address if you can. It is from the Book of Ezekiel 37:1-11. Would you please explain that text for me to the best of you knowledge? I believe it relates to me is the reason I would like clarification on it.

I would very much like to be restored back to God. What is the best way to be restored back to God? It is not God's fault that He turned His back on me - it was me that was disobedient. I was once in His favor but now I am not.

Thank you.

I would appreciate an answer to questions presented by an athiestic friend about the atrocities administered by God against women and children in the Old Testament. How can such a God be called merciful and kind and loving?
