| I have a question on which I hope
you can shed some light. It is
concerning the dietary requirements
of the Bible. Should we only eat
kosher food, i.e., no pork, etc.? Or,
should we follow the requirements
set out in Acts 15:29? I realize that
our covenant is not of the flesh, but
of the spirit, but I do want to follow
the Word as responsibly as possible.

| I am doing a study of Isaiah 45:7,
in which it states, "I create evil." is
that really what it says? Does God
create evil? - posted: September 12 2003 | | Answer... |
| I heard a pastor say recently that you do not
need to know Hebrew or Greek in order to understand
the Bible. He said that people who are saying
that you do need to know Hebrew and Greek in order
to understand the Bible were just like the Pope, who
declares that only he has the right or spiritual
authority to correctly interpret the Bible. He said,
further, that the Bible was simple, and that anybody
could understand without it a knowledge of Hebrew
or Greek. Would you care to comment? - posted: September 12 2003 | | Answer... |
| You have stressed the importance of study. How
do you explain your emphasis on individual study, in
light of John 14:26, which states, "You have no need
that any man should teach you, but that the Holy
Spirit will teach you"? I have heard many other Bible
teachers say that you really do not need to study, that
the Holy Spirit would teach you, and that in order to
understand spiritual things, you have to get your
mind out of the way and understand through the spirit
man. - posted: September 12 2003 | | Answer... |
