We were reading in John 20:19 where it says that on the evening of the first day of the week, Jesus appeared in the middle of the disciples. Further on, in John 20:26, it says that eight days later (after the first day of the week cited in v. 19), Jesus once again appeared to the disciples. My bible teacher says that this second appearing (in v. 26) was again on the first day of the week (rather than on Monday), as the Jews counted time differently than we do. Would you please comment?

Hello, and my name is Michael. I have a question. I'm coming up higher in my giving, and I believe God loves a cheerful giver. I believe God will return the harvest for seed that has been sown, and of course we should speak God's word as watering the seed that has been sown. This leads up to my question.

Would it be wrong to write off for tax purposes like donated items? (For instance : personal hygiene products to an organization that houses the homeless)

In Biblical Hebew, how would the words "He who will be" written? Would the word be Yahveh or Yahwah?

Follow-up Question: Thank you for your response. I do have another question. I am desperately looking for understanding. I need to know the why of the answer Yahweh as opposed to Yahwah or Yahveh. What lies behind the answer Yahweh? Is there some written information I can refer to? Where do I go to dig deeper without a thorough understanding of the Hebrew language.

I am crying out for help!
