Question:
I saw the show on GLC and had one question. You talked often about the difference in having your place in the world to come versus having wholeness now on earth. I never did hear you say what a person MUST do to have his place in the world to come. This seems very important to know, and I would sure like to know what your opinion on this is. Thank You.
James
Answer:
Dear James,

In regard to your recent question - What must a person do to have his place in the world to come, the answer is probably very little. It is not so much as WHAT a person should do but WHO is that person to know. As far as Judaism and the Biblical text is concerned, the only thing that a person has to know to have their part in the world to come is God. However, in order to live in THIS world in a manner pleasing to God and to one's fellow man, we need to know a lot. And, that is where study comes in. There is a lot of good material on our Web site that could help you in this regard.
