Question:
I am planning to take Hebrew, but am not sure whether to take Biblical Hebrew or Modern Hebrew. Joe
Answer:
Joe, I am always glad to hear someone wants to take Hebrew because it makes a significant difference in your ability to understand the scripture. Regardless of what anybody says, as long as you are going to study Hebrew, study Modern Hebrew. You can make the transition from Modern Hebrew to Biblical Hebrew in 5 minutes but not visa versa.
