Question:
I am wondering if there has ever been any mention of anyone in the bible who was considered to be funny? By funny I do mean that they had a documented sense of humour.
Thanks!
Answer:
Dear Suzanne,
That is an interesting question and the fact is that God, above all others, had a sense of humor that is reflected in a number of incidences in the Biblical text. But, unfortunately, I cannot point you to anyone single individual. One example of God’s sense of humor would be in the book of Revelations when it says “blessed is he that reads and understands the things that are written in this book.” Ha ha – as if anyone could or would be able to understand. It was written with tongue in cheek.
Best wishes,
Roy
