Dear William,
We were not thinking of the color of flames at the time when the logo was designed. The background is taken from photos of the Western Wall at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In the photo, the wall has a goldish hue and the burgundy color is a compliment to that color. Regarding the lion on our logo, Dr. Blizzard has a full stuffed lion in his office that he shot on a trip to Africa many years ago and he has always enjoyed that as a special trophy. We used the lion in our logo for that reason. If you are familiar with a lion, there is a tuft of hair at the end of its tail and the area you commented on as being a “demon tail” is simply the tuft of hair in a reduced resolution photo. I hope that answers your questions.
